I currently work for a business to business marketing company in Farmington, Conn., on projects for such Fortune 500 companies as General Electric, United Technologies Corporation and CIGNA as well as a number of high tech firms.

This is the language that tells your Web browser where to put the pictures and what color, size and font to use to display text.

I learned to create Web pages by writing HTML which is advantageous when using WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors such as Dreamweaver since not all browsers render HTML the same way. Knowing how to write helps to troubleshoot code that does not display as intended in a particular browser.

   
<Flash>
Flash is the de facto standard for streaming animation on the Internet. It is also a popular choice for advanced corporate presentations integrating animation, music and/or voiceovers.
<ASP/ColdFusion>
These languages allow communication with databases to display dynamic information, track inquiries from visitors or whatever else you'd like to do with your data.
